Shippensburg Community Resource Coalition
Summer Learning Program- this program provides free breakfast, lunch, and enrichment activities for Shippensburg area children during the summer months. The program helps to address food, socialization, and literarcy needs at a time that school is not in session. SU students gain meaningful experience as staff members and many campus and community members volunteer time providing activities. For example, professors create science demonstrations and coaches work with participants on campus.
Why does the SCRC need my support?
The program is free to all participants! Contributions help us to :
- Pay qualified staff (who are often SU students).
- Purchase supplies.
- Take field trips.
