Women's Basketball

The Women’s Basketball program has long established themselves as one of the top teams in the PSAC.  The 2022-2023 team were PSAC East Division regular season champions (the third East Division Championship in the past 5 years) and advanced to the NCAA National Regional Tournament Semi-Finals with a 25-7 overall record.  Coach Kristy Trn garnered her 400th career victory at Shippensburg University throughout the course of the season.  She has guided her program to two PSAC Conference Championships, an East Regional Championship, and an appearance in the Div. II Final Four.  Assistant Coach David Smith boasts over 600 career victories during his time as a Division II Head Coach at multiple universities.  And Assistant Coach Matt Allen has over 23 years of collegiate coaching experience at all three levels of NCAA play. 

Ship Women’s Basketball has enjoyed tremendous success both academically and athletically at the PSAC and NCAA levels.  Winning 6 PSAC Championships, 3 Regional Titles, a Final Four and National Championship appearance, all while consistently maintaining a team cumulative GPA above a 3.0.  

Why does Women's Basketball need my support?

The Women’s Basketball program relies heavily on fundraising and donor support to remain competitive in the very difficult PSAC.  Every dollar contributed will continue to elevate our programs and provide our current and future student-athletes with the best possible SHIP experience that they can have.

How will I make an impact?

• Individual female student athlete scholarships.
• Equipment and supplies relevant for competition.
• Travel - in the 2024-2025 season the Raiders will be looking to play in Ireland so that then senior Eve Nealon can showcase her talents with Shippensburg in her home country and in front of her family and friends!
